Subject: Add calendar view - is there any way to use a local replica and not ask the server every time?
Feedback Type: Problem
Product Area: Notes Client
Technical Area: Functionality
Platform: Windows
Release: 8.5.3
Reproducible: Always

Hi,

I have a issue with a site that has no local server. They use the "Add calendar" feature in their personal calendar view to keep track of their ten office colleagues where-abouts.

But it just takes forever to open their calendar view with the "ghost calendars" enabled (45-60 seconds). Is there a way to limit the number of days loaded to the number of days displayed? or is there a way to tell the client to look after a local replica of the colleagues inboxes prior asking the server for the infrmation?

I realise that the local replica option is not a good solution but perhaps a fast way forward for this small site, rather tan wating for a smarter "add calendar" solution from IBM.

Ps. The connection towards the server is not that bad (10 users sharing 4mbit up and down with 29ms response times in average).

All help is much appreciated!
Thank you
Rasmus
